| St. Apollinaris Catholic Church is located in the beautiful Napa Valley. Our parish consists of approximately 1400 families who are very active in spiritual, social, and educational endeavors here and in the community.
We have a grammar school with 280 students and we also have a very large Religious Education program covering Nursery School, Sunday Story for our K-4 and educational classes from 1st to 8th. In addition we have very active middle school and high school youth groups.
Multiple organizations serve our parish: a Women's Guild, Mens Club, MERCY—the Parent Organization for the school, Legion of Mary, We have adult, teen, and children’s choirs who sing at our Masses. We have several prayer groups, a Respect Life Committee, and Adoration once a week. Our pastoral council meets regularly as does our Finance Committee. Volunteers range from our Eucharistic ministers, lectors, altar servers, ushers, musicians, finance committee, building and maintenance, and much more.
At present we have two parish priests, our pastor Msgr. Joseph Alzugaray and his associate Fr. Dominic Malai. Our two Deacons who served our parish are Dn Frank Dahl and Dn Joel Momsen. Our two Sisters are from the Irish order of the Sisters of Mercy—Sr. Peggy Cruise is our Director of Religious Education and Sr. Philomena Geoghegan works within our school.
Our Parish facilities include: our Church, convent, hall, school classrooms and computer lab, gymnasium, youth room, and conference room. We are fortunate to have a wonderful playing field for our children as well as a beautiful park we use for many social events. St. A’s is truly blessed.
