St. A's Religious Education
Childrens' Program - CCD
Religious Education for children in an important part of the mission and ministry at St. Apollinaris. The goals of our CCD program is:
- To help your child grow to know God by developing a deep and personal relationship with the Lord as the center and source of meaning, fulfillment and happiness.
- To help your child grow in knowledge and understanding of the Sacraments and to celebrate them with faith and devotion.
- To help your child study and understand the moral principles and values by which we as Catholic Christians live our lives.
- To help your child learn to communicate with God in prayer and celebrate the Eucharist each week as a member of our parish family.
Schedule of Classes
- Tuesday/Wednesday Grades 1-5 3:30-4:45 pm*
- Wednesday Evening Grades 6-8 7:00 -8:15 pm
- Sunday Nursery -K 9:00 & 10:30 am Masses
* The First Communion program starts in the first grade and runs for two years.
Children's Liturgy of the Word is provided each Sunday at the 9 & 10:30 am Masses. Our children hear the Sunday scriptures at a level they can understand, so they can live the message of the Gospel in the week ahead.

Infant Baptisms: Classes on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 7:30 pm in the Gym Conference Room. Open to all new parents—no need to register. Must attend the class before Baptism can be scheduled. 
Reconcillation: Confessions are heard on Saturdays from 3:30 to 4:15 pm in the church. You may call the rectory for an appointment during the week. 
Confirmation: is a two year program for high school students. For information and a schedule please call Megan Dominici, Youth Minister at 251-0392 for details. 
Marriage: Arrangements for weddings must be made six months in advance. For more information on weddings at St. Apollinaris Church, call the Office at 257-2555 or click "Weddings" under Celebrations on the Home page.
